Exploring Wind Energy
Students recycled milk cartons and created small boats. Using different shaped polygons they explored which shape captured the most wind and moved their boat the fastest.
Tinfoil Boat Challenge
Students were given a 30cm X 30cm piece of tinfoil that they were to mold into a shape that could support 100 pennies without sinking.
Students were given 2 attempts so that they could change or improve their design based on the results of their first attempt.

Sink or Float?
In hands on stations students explored the buoyancy of different objects. They made predictions on whether or not they thought the object would sink or float and tested to see if they were correct.
