Golf ball Loader/ Pump and Jack Challenge - BUILDING PHASE
Students are hard at work planning, and constructing their Systems projects for this unit. They are using specialized STEM materials and toold to measure, cut and assemble their projects.
Golf ball Loader/ Pump and Jack Challenge
For the Systems Unit students will be tying together their knowledge from the fluids unit to build and test a device that uses pneumatics or hydraulics to function. Once their models have been built they will then determine its mechanical advantage.
First deadline - FRIDAY, MARCH 10th BLUE PRINT OF PROTOTYPE
Students must have a completed drawing of what their device will look like, what materials they will be using, as well as the dimensions of each part. See the attached outline from the textbook that describes the success criteria for this challenge. Construction will begin when we return from March break.
